Your Questions Our Answers
What type of advice do you provide?

The solutions we will customise to your own needs and goals include wealth creation, retirement planning, personal and corporate superannuation, risk analysis, portfolio monitoring, gearing, insurance protection, debt reduction and wealth preservation strategies.

We will only ever recommend an investment plan to you after considering its suitability for your individual investment objectives, financial situation and needs.

Who is my adviser and what qualifications do you have?

Your adviser will be acting as an Authorised Representative on behalf of MLC Limited ABN 09 000 000 402 trading as MLC Financial Planning who is therefore responsible to you for any advisory services your adviser provides. MLC Financial Planning is a Licensed Dealer in Securities.

Our Authorised Representatives hold industry recognised qualifications, and are dedicated to providing high quality advice.

Will I be charged if I attend your seminars and book an appointment with a financial planner?

There is no charge to attend any of our educational seminars.  From time to time we do offer specialist guest speaker seminars which may have a small cost to attend.  You will not be charged for your first appointment with a financial planner.

How will I pay for the Service?

We will charge an advisory fee directly to you for the preparation and/or implementation of our recommendations, as well as for the on-going portfolio review service. These fees will vary according to your individual circumstances. After the initial consultations have been undertaken and a comprehensive analysis of your needs has been completed, a written recommendation is prepared and presented to you.

On placement of the investments we may receive a fee or commission, paid to us by the product issuers whose products we recommend to you. These fees will be calculated based on the amount invested, and may be deducted from the funds you invest or alternately charged to you and an invoice issued.

All the fees for the preparation and implementation of our recommendations are fully disclosed in our Schedule of Fees document, and are discussed with you during the presentation of the report.

What should I know about any risks of the investments or investment strategies you recommend to me?

We will explain to you any significant risks of investments and strategies which we recommend to you.

Will you give me advice which is suitable to my investment needs and financial circumstances?

All our advice is carefully researched and prepared in order to suit your specific investment needs. To do this we need to get a full and clear picture of your circumstances and needs and individual investment objectives before we recommend any investment strategy to you. This means we need to ask you a lot of questions and a separate appointment is usually made for this.

What information do you maintain in my file and can I examine my file?

We maintain a record of your personal profile, which includes details of your investment objectives, financial situation and needs. Files are maintained both physically and electronically.

We also maintain records of any recommendations made to you and full details of investments placed on your behalf. This includes all correspondence with you.

If you wish to examine your file, please ask us, and we will make arrangements for you to do so.
